Terms & Conditions

Sales

1.1 Anything ordered before 12:00 mid-day Monday, will, stock permitting be delivered to you before close of business on Friday, although this is not guaranteed. Any order received after that week’s deadline will be carried over for delivery the following week. Larger Palletised deliveries and deliveries to UK offshore islands may take a little longer.

1.2 Minimum orders vary dependent on post code. Please refer to the delivery spreadsheet page.

1.3 Prices are displayed exclusive of VAT. This will be added at the appropriate rate where applicable.

1.4 We operate two sets of minimum order levels. “Super Care” and “Super Minimum”. See corresponding maps for details.

1.5 Every effort has been made to ensure the displayed prices are correct. If however a genuine pricing error or omission has been made, we will contact you and offer the product at the correct price before processing your order.

1.6 In view of exchange rate fluctuations and other cost increases, prices may change without prior notice.

Delivery

2.1 We will only deliver to the address provided with your order and cannot accept responsibility or liability for late or failed delivery if the address and postcode provided is not correct or complete.

2.2 Delivery surcharges and compulsory minimum orders are applied to some postcodes. Highlands, Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, The Scilly Isles, Guernsey and Jersey are subject to special conditions. Please see the delivery spreadsheet for details.

2.3 Our delivery partner on small deliveries is UPS. They will attempt to deliver on three consecutive days before returning the goods to us. UPS Terms & Conditions can be found at www.ups.com

2.4 Our pallet delivery partner is Palletline. Their standard delivery vehicles are 18 ton trucks with a tail lift. If your shop suffers from restricted access, delivery by smaller 7.5 ton truck is available with prior notice at no extra charge. If however, no notification is given regarding access and the delivery is unsuccessful with the standard delivery vehicle a re-delivery charge will be incurred.

2.5 Pallets are delivered ‘to the door’ and will not be broken down. Palletline’s Terms & Conditions are available on line.

2.6 Failed deliveries made by our own fleet of vans will be returned to our hub and we will attempt to deliver the following week.

Payment

3.1 Non-account customers must pay by credit or debit card when placing their order. We do not hold any of your personal details except your name and contact details. All payment information is processed by our Payment Service provider, Global Payments. More information on Global Payments can be found at www.globalpaymentsinc.com

3.2 Accounts can be obtained by filling out an ‘application for credit’ form which can be obtained on request. The form must contain one bank and two trade references, as well as a home address of the person liable for payment.

3.3 Accounts will only be considered from regular customers meeting our minimum order requirements.

3.4 We reserve the right to refuse anyone an account.

3.5 All accounts are strictly 30 days from invoice date.

3.6 Interest may be charged on any overdue accounts at 5% above base rate.

3.7 Unpaid cheques returned by the bank are liable to a £40 admin charge.

3.8 Debt recovery will incur a charge of £40.

Claims

4.1 Notification of any damages must be made within 48 hours of delivery by informing our office on 01264 332128 or by e-mail – sales@pwfinefoods.co.uk

4.2 Damaged goods must be returned to us (at our expense) for inspection before any credit will be raised. Outside packaging must be retained for inspection and a damage claim form must be filled out.

4.3 Because of a wide variation of ‘sell by’ & ‘best before’ dates from importers & manufacturers; we must be notified within 24 hours of delivery if you are unhappy with the dates provided. No credit will be given at a later date.

4.4 No items are sold on a sale or return basis.

4.5 We do not split cases.

Cancellation

5.1 Customers have the right to cancel their order by informing us within 7 working days and returning the goods for a full refund minus any damaged, opened or perished items. Notice of cancellation must be in writing. PW Fine Foods will not be responsible for the cost of returning cancelled orders.

Title

6.1 All goods remain the property of PW Fine Foods Ltd until the invoice is paid in full.

6.2 We reserve the right to remove any goods that have not been paid for in full.

Data Protection

6.3 Data is collected in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We will not divulge any information to any third party and will treat your details with strict confidentiality. We may contact you periodically with promotional e-mails, but will desist immediately on request. At no point in the purchasing process do we have any access to your credit or debit card details.

Cookie Statement

7.1 We are committed to protecting your right to privacy. PW Fine Foods respects your privacy and will use our best efforts to ensure that the information you provide to us remains private. Information provided will only be stored on computers based in the UK.

7.2 For control of our business, our website logs IP addresses, which is the automatic number assigned to your computer when you surf the web. The IP address allows us to anonymously track visitors’ usage on our website. Your IP address is not connected to any personally identifiable or on-line contact information like a name and address, so you remain anonymous at all times.
